Nadal's 13-year reign at the French Open comes to an end

Novak Djokovic ended Rafael Nadal's reign at the French Open with a four-set win in a classic semi-final on Friday.

Djokovic, the world number one, won 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 to reach the final, where he will face Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Nadal, who had won the French Open a record 13 times, was bidding to become the first man to win the same Grand Slam 14 times.

But Djokovic was too strong on the day, and he will now have the chance to win his second French Open title and his 19th Grand Slam title overall.

The match was a classic, with both players hitting some stunning winners.

Nadal took the first set, but Djokovic hit back to win the second and third sets.

The fourth set was a tight affair, but Djokovic eventually broke Nadal's serve in the 10th game to seal the victory.

Djokovic was delighted with his win, and he said that he had played one of his best matches of the tournament.

"I'm very happy with the way I played today," Djokovic said.

"I knew that I had to play my best to beat Rafa, and I'm glad that I was able to do that."

Nadal was disappointed to lose, but he said that Djokovic was the better player on the day.

"Novak played a great match," Nadal said.

"He was the better player today, and I congratulate him."
