1. Safety First: Disconnect the battery and park the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Raise the Vehicle: Use a jack and jack stands to raise the vehicle and secure it.
3. Remove the Wheels: Remove the front wheels to access the steering rack.
4. Disconnect the Tie Rods: Use a steering rack socket to disconnect the tie rods from the steering rack.
5. Remove the Hydraulic Lines: Using pliers, disconnect the hydraulic lines from the steering rack.
6. Remove the Mounting Bolts: Locate and remove the bolts that secure the steering rack to the vehicle.
7. Pull Out the Old Steering Rack: Once the bolts are removed, pull the old steering rack out of its housing.
8. Install the New Steering Rack: Insert the new steering rack into the housing and secure it with the mounting bolts.
9. Attach the Hydraulic Lines: Reconnect the hydraulic lines to the steering rack using pliers.
10. Connect the Tie Rods: Attach the tie rods to the steering rack using a steering rack socket.
11. Install the Wheels: Put the front wheels back on and tighten the lug nuts.
12. Lower the Vehicle: Slowly lower the vehicle using the jack and jack stands.
13. Reconnect the Battery: Reconnect the vehicle's battery to restore power.
14. Test the System: Start the vehicle and check if the steering is functioning properly.
